| Overview

xxxxxQuixos. It is an abbreviated word that does not easily roll off the tongue. It derives from the fictional character of Don Quixote of Man of La Mancha fame. Why did Flynn choose this as a Shadow Name? Perhaps it was an homage to his life as a Spanish monk fighting the moors. In either event, it is a word which defines his hope for the world. It is not in the seeing of reality as it is that we shall find victory but in seeing the world as it ought to be.
xxxxxFlynn. It's a name. Not his name. It's close enough. He was given this one in this life. O'Rourke. Now /that/ name has meaning to him. It is a name he has held dear to him for the entirety of his long existence. The question now, in this world, what is the significance of O'Rourke to /it/? This question. The question of Ruairc. This one which demands an answer.

- Mage: Quixos is a mage's mage. His path has him seeking truth wherever it is to be found and destroying every lie he finds.
- Mastigos: Unlike many of his Path, he does not lie. In fact, it is anathema to him. Like many of his Path, he has exacting principles which shall not bend.
- Mysterium: He's a Famulus of his Order, a Daduchos, yet still finds himself comfortable as an Acquisitor. He passes on what he knows to those who would also search for lore lost.
- Academics: Math, geometry, geography, history, tactics, The Classics.. Flynn is a veritable font of information. Perhaps because he was there.
- Interrogation: Have a secret you don't want out? Speak to him at your peril. Committed a crime and challenge him to prove it? Your funeral.
- The Sword: For a thousand years, the sword has proven to be a reliable means of defense. He likes to keep his skills up. Do you?
- O'Rourke: Flynn was always willing to come to the defense of family. There might be a reason...
- Immortal: Flynn has been reborn quite a few times prior to his Awakening in this life. He can trace his first life back to Domnall Ua Ruairc, born A.D. 1010 and fifth son of Ruairc, king of Breifne, and grandson to Ferghal Ua Ruairc the first to take the name Ua Ruairc.

He joined the Maine State Police and rose quickly to become an investigator of cold cases. Based in Augusta, his name hit the papers on more than one occasion as the unsolvable became solved. Then he took a sabbatical to Ireland. No one has seen him since. Until now...

- Adamantine Arrows: Anyone can fight. Honor is what separates you from the ruffian and cutthroat. Do not lose sight of this.
- Guardians of the Veil: I do not disagree that some knowledge should not be given out freely. I do not agree that any knowledge should be allowed to pass into nothingness. I have seen what the inquisition has done to humanity. Have a care our paths do not cross.
- Mysterium: Ours is a sacred duty. The Dark Ages cannot be allowed to come again.
- Silver Ladder: Even the mighty must have a counselor. Remember that yours is the role of counselor and not the king.
- Free Council: Rebels without a clue. Pfft.
- Werewolves: An interesting observation in the world's ability to defend itself. Unfortunately, rage is rather indiscriminate. Tread carefully.
- Vampires: I have no words for the suffering your kind has inflicted upon the world. Would that all were purged.
- Changelings: The wounded. Would that you could be healed.
- Possessed: Never shall I be. Your freedom shall be achieved.
- Geist: I achieved immortality without selling my soul. Some bargains are not worth the price.
- Hunters: If only more of mankind were so courageous. Just be aware that not all things which bump in the night are your foe.

xxxxxAs a Daduchos, his is the backbone of the Order yet.. where are the other Daduchoi to form Council? Where is the Athenaeum, the font of knowledge to defend and grow? He came to Aleswich once and helped the Athenaeum become something. He'll do it again.
"What is a Mystogogue? Is he a scholar? Is he a scribe? Is he the wizened man of little action? We have warriors. We have seekers. We have guardians. We have Censors. To me? The Mysterium is that which all other Orders should strive to become. Our purpose is singular. To learn all that is learnable and safeguard it for all mankind."
