xxxxxSinjin grew up in The Reach, not surprising, he's an O'Rourke. An Eagle Scout, and with all the veterans in that family who is suprised that he became a Marine? Sinjin graduated from Annapolis in 1985 to start his Aviator training as a Second Lieutenant. Sinjin's two aircraft of choice was the AH-1W SuperCobra, and he chose to cross-qualify in the Bell UH-1N Twin Huey. He is a Combat Veteran of Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Somalia, Iraq and Afghanistan. He was on the ground as a Forward Air Controller in both Iraq and Afghanistan, during rotations with MARSOC (USMC Special Operations Command).
xxxxxAfter 31 years of service, two purple hearts, and a Medal of Honor. Some bean counter of Uncle Sam's decided it was time for the Colonel to Retire. Except Sinjin was assigned to TFV, including during the Solstice. He successfully utilized their Hin-D helo to perform strafing runs on several beach fronts during the heat of the battle. Until some critter Kamakazi'd the rotors. He was able to perform an auto-rotation landing (crash) on one of the many islands around the bay. Unfortunately for Saint John, said island during the upheaval was pushed far out from the shore, leaving him without sure bearins. Since that day and night, Sinjin has spent the past year and a half surviving... barely. On his own. Against unnamed and unknown horrors. Now... he finally got a glimpse of the mainland, and his makeshift raft coming apart around him, is about to land him on the shore to home.... because he doesn't know it's Hell yet.
